Many of my clients have never worked with a designer before. This is why we offer the “Meet and Greet”. It’s an opportunity for us to meet in person, without obligation, and learn how we can help you with your project. We understand that no two homes, projects, or clients’ needs are alike so this one-on-one time gives us a better understanding of how we can best work with you on your project.
We do have various tradespeople that we have worked with on many jobs that we can recommend. Though you are welcome to work with any contractor or tradespeople, you want, with the exception of drapery or window covering installers.
Yes, we can furnish your home with every piece of furniture including towels if needed. We have a design studio and have completely ordered every piece right at the studio for clients. We have wallpaper, area rugs fabrics, knobs, fabrics, etc. It can be a one stop.
No, we are happy to try and work with your existing pieces too, but many times adding a few new ones, along with a new rug, light fixture, accessories, etc. can bring your space alive.
Yes, we do window treatments all the time. In fact, I am a Window Fashions Certified Professional which means I’ve taken many courses on this subject alone to understand specifying the correct window coverings.
Yes, we specify all finishes for new homes including, tiles, flooring, wall paint, lighting, plumbing, cabinets, etc. We do all selections from the ground up.
We like to design for the clients. As creative professionals, we can design with modern, transitional, or traditional. We have clients with all different tastes and backgrounds and we can design for a client who likes mid-century modern, Spanish villa, cap code home, etc.
We do the complimentary meet and greet, but any home visits do require a fee.
We prefer not to since we work long hours during the week. We’d prefer a late or early appointment during the week.
We prefer both to be at least on the first appointment, even if they say they don’t care what decisions are made. We find that most time they do have an opinion and we want to make sure we try to incorporate everyone’s likes and dislikes. Even couples that have been together for a long time surprisingly will hear something they have not in the past.
Yes, we can have almost any piece made custom to suit.
Through our series of questions on the initial consultation, we will determine that and it doesn’t take long for us to do so.
Hiring a designer is an investment in saving you time and peace of mind which is cost-effective in the long run. We make sure the selections and items you purchase are appropriate for your space. There is no industry standard for designer fees, but generally an hourly fee. A flat fee can at times depend on the space.
We suggest having some images saved from the internet or magazines, so we can capture the feeling, colors, textures, and look. Just save or print them for us and we’ll go over them at the initial consultation. Also, think of an inspiration piece in your home that you can share with us. It can be a piece of furniture, art, accessory, etc.
On Houzz.com under FaGalde Interior Design, we have several clients that have written reviews for us.
